IVANI aims to make its digital publication reasonably accessible to visitors and members. We are committed to improving the usability of our website for people with disabilities and to meeting applicable accessibility expectations for a modern editorial platform.

1. Our Commitment

We design and develop the IVANI website with attention to semantic structure, readable typography, keyboard operability where feasible, and sufficient color contrast for primary text on our black editorial interface. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing practice rather than a one-time checklist.

2. Standards We Reference

As we continue development, we reference the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as a widely recognized benchmark. This Statement does not claim certified conformance or third-party audit approval. Formal auditing may be commissioned before or after public launch as resources allow.

3. Measures We Take

Current and planned measures include:

  • Semantic HTML headings and landmarks for page structure.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images where appropriate; decorative images marked accordingly.
  • Visible focus states and keyboard-accessible primary navigation where implemented.
  • Forms with associated labels and clear error or confirmation messaging.
  • Avoidance of essential information conveyed by color alone.
  • Respect for reduced-motion preferences for non-essential animation where implemented.

4. Known Limitations

Some editorial layouts, embedded third-party media, archival materials, or older assets may not yet meet every accessibility preference. Complex magazine-style compositions can present challenges on small screens or with assistive technologies. We prioritize fixes based on severity and user impact.
